to ship or not to ship

Internet, I have a problem. I have no idea if I ship Eleven/Amy or not. This should not be a problem. You know me, I ship everything. And I love them both, separately and together, just about more than I've loved anything in a long time. We're talking Tennant's fashion choices and Hugh's shaved head level of love here. I REALLY LOVE THEM A

this is exactly why i'm not shipping them! i am just not getting shipping vines off of them. but since it's only been three episodes, that may change. i'm anticipating that the river song two-parter will get some UST going in various directions -- which directions i'm not sure yet. but we'll know sooooooon.

I'm okay with not shipping them, it's the part where they are all ADORABLE together and then I see UST and sparks and I GET CONFUSED.

I think a lot of this has to do with this incarnation of the Doctor not being needy in that way. There was a fair amount of desperation wtih both Nine and Ten. And I love that. I love that Eleven is still damaged but has moved past the place where Nine and Ten were.

It's Eleven. I have mentioned before he actually does feel very old, very ancient to me. And parental. Like, in general, not Amy specific.
Oh I love it too. I even mentioned it in my 'Eleventh Hour' review, re. calling the Atraxi back to Earth, because he was so clearly giving them a stern telling off. 'Now I hope you've learned your lesson and don't go doing anything like that again, understood?'

So... yeah, I don't think I can ship them either. (I don't tend to ship the Doctor with anyone other than the Master or the TARDIS anyway, so that makes it easier. *g*)
