I just recently got into Sherlock and am looking for some good fic. What are some of the best, preferably long and completed, fic in the fandom? Any pairing is good I just want fic! :)

God I love the Paradox series. It's definitely taking Sherlock's 'weird' dial and twisting it until it snaps completely off and falls behind the couch, but still those stories are just everything I've ever wanted.

Zero Sum Game by Sidney Sussex...James Moriarty cares for three things: mathematics, the game, and discovering what makes Sherlock Holmes tick. (Implied torture and implied Jim/Sebastian, but it's mostly about John getting caught up in one of Jim's twisted mathematical puzzles

I have some less mainstream stuff bookmarked as well (mostly Holmes brothers sibling incest and John/Sherlock/Lestrade, John/Sherlock/Mycroft threesomes) if you want any of that recommended. But all of these are worth reading, IMO, and they're all complete (no WIPs

I also second the recommendations for "The Progress of Sherlock Holmes" (although I don't much like their characterization of Mary) and the Paradox series (if you want to explore what a much darker Sherlock would be like).

Absolutely seconding everything the first responder listed.

I try to recommend kres's "End of the Story" when I get the chance. I never, ever see it recced, but it's had a few hundred kudos, so it must be known somewhere. Post-TRF reunion piece, one of the best. Sexy, sad (Mycroft, oh my heart), hopeful, incredibly well-written.

I second the "Asteroidea" series if you like daemon!fic. (Maybe even if you don't or aren't familiar with it.) Great melding/crossover/what-have-you. And thank you for the "End of the Story" rec--definitely marked that for later.
