He went there because his friend couldn’t make it. A last minute request he could refuse but if not for his cousin’s persistent pestering, he went on his behalf instead. It was an event he had mild interest, since he cared more about work and disliked mingling around rich people.
*
He went there because he had a purpose. It was a charity gala dinner at his favourite museum for a cause he supported and he wanted to get away from work, which was killing him. He didn’t have any plan to meet anyone, let alone talk about work. Relaxation was on his mind and for the charity he supported, he was more than willing to contribute a generous amount of money.
*
“Good evening! I believe you’re Mr Kim Jaejoong, representing Judge Shim Changmin?” asked the event’s host, Park Yoochun.
“Yes, I am.”
“Please, come in. I hope your presence to this event will give a greater publicity because of your looks.” joked the event’s co-host, Kim Junsu. Jaejoong merely smiled and went into the museum.
The National Museum of Korea, houses precious historical artefacts and being surrounded by historical artefacts in a gala dinner seemed weird but none bothered. Because not everyone has the time or opportunity to visit a museum, the dinner in a museum allows guests to admire and appreciate it’s own past for time-compressed people.
*
Dinner was 45 minutes away and as the clocked ticked by, more guests arrived, other guests mingled around the museum lobby with glass flutes in their hands, waiting for the doors of the museum’s specially converted room to open before heading into the room for dinner and entertainment. Soothing music was being played, he walked around the museum, trying to get used to the surroundings he just got himself into.
*
He had to entertain a client of his by engaging in small talk, which bored him. He was there to do his part, by attending the dinner he had paid for and to understand what the charity intends to do with the funds raised.
After he politely excused himself from the boring client, did he feel better. That was when he saw someone whom he had vaguely seen before, looking so beautiful. He couldn’t remember where or when and he had to know that person, even if that person is a male. He never cared about his own sexual orientation because what mattered more was his heart. Wealth could be used to silence gossipy people or eliminate them into oblivion, if so he wished.

He stopped in front of an artefact from Central Asia and studied its display. It was an ancient Persian carpet with intricate details and just as he was about to move away from the display, he slipped on a water spill and almost landed on the floor, if not for a pair of strong arms saving him.
Eyes were locked onto each other, neither wanting to let go of each other.
Neither the two men could let go of each other and it could have go on forever, if not for queries from concerned museum staff asking if he was alright and profuse apologies for causing him inconvenience.
“Are you alright?” asked the man.
“I’m fine, thank you.” and he walked away from that man.
“I believe we’ve met before. What is your name?” Jaejoong pretended not to hear him.
The man was dumbfounded at Jaejoong’s reaction.

A/N: Actually, I haven't finished writing this and it's going to be my first second attempt at writing a chaptered story. I'm still thinking how should I continue this story, especially when I'm elaborating
Nefsi Tefhamni. Click
HERE if you have not read it.
I've been pathetically sick for the past week or so, visitng 3 different doctors and a hospital visit. I'm feeling better now and I can't wait to continue where I last left off in writing fan fictions. Maybe I should spend more time during my off and leave periods writing or stick to photography.
Comments are welcome & loved.
