I totally agree. I think we live in a magic realist nation. Drowning in the absurd, we've lost all sense of wonder.

But isn't Halloween popular? Well, not the western version. And we don't call it Halloween. And we celebrate it in graveyards and sharing ghost stories, etc.

Hindi ba all saints day yun? Hindi Halloween in the sense na may costume, etc. Pero kung takutan, halos everyday naman pwede. Hindi opisyal/ tradisyonal ang pananakot sa Haloween, diba? Except sa dami ng horror movie sa tv.

oo. pero kasama kasi sa october 31 ang selebrasyon. nyahahahahaha. wait, anong hindi tradisyonal ang pananakot sa halloween (ng west)?
