I like this a lot. I'm one of the 'Duck and Dan never fucked' camp, but I'm open to other interpretations. Especially when they're like this :)

Heh. I wasn't aware that there were camps :D But I really feel like the awkwardness between the two in the movie is because of something the did in the past...

I can definitely see this as a backstory. It explains a lot about how we came to see that 24 hour stretch when Dan was so utterly forelorn and how Duck knew him. Thanks for sharing.
