Both because everybody's paranoid about space heaters as for conserving energy, so when I know I'm not going to be home for more than a day I turn off the heat. Now you ( Read more... )

IE does things that, so far, I haven't had as much luck with Firefox following up on. That and I personally found it very annoying when it came out with everyone reacting to it like the coming of some messiah.

You're still running WINDOWS 98????

You must be the only one on earth. Even cannibals in the remote rainforests of South America run at least XP!

I swear by Firefox - all my computer problems came to a grinding halt when I locked down IE and started using FF exclusively.

Apple doesn't use BIG BLUE hardware.

They use Intel inside...

No irony there, man. Intel makes a better chip than either Motorola OR IBM.

Win'98! That is soooo 20th century.

Check this out. I've got XP, and will not use Vista after all I've heard about it. I got an Asus Eee with Linux, to see if I could get used to that system. I like it okay, but I can't really do anything with it beyond use what was pre-installed, because I learned on Windows. The new version of Windows sounds pretty good. I think I'll make it on this one until it is released.

I think IE sucks, Firefox has its good points, and Opera is the greatest - especially Alpha 10. But it took me a long time to get used to Opera. You might like to try SlimBrowser, which is what I use when a site requires IE. It may be an illusion, but I feel safer using it and its customizations than straight virus/spyware-inviting IE.

You sure keep things warm!

I thought computers were supposed to love the cold? I thought they ran better in the cold? Or is that just supercomputers?
