yeh, the italians, apparently, don't use the letter "X" anyway...
I am always annoyed when people call it expresso...I mean, yes, it is the french version of the word, but it seams likly that english speakers just got it from mispronouncing it/thinking it means "fast".

It bugs me like crazy when people mispronounce words.

When I worked at Rite Aid at the ice cream counter, we had two flavors that would get mispronounced constantly as

biscotti expresso and
sherbert

I hated that.

Technically, when you mispronounce things, you aren't getting what you ORDER...you're getting what you want, or what you INTENDED to order, but not actually what you ORDERED. What you ORDERED was an idiotic mispronunciation. :)
