I just can't tell you enough how much I love this piece. I... it just gets to me, on some weird level. Crawls under my skin and rests on my pulse, and damned if I don't want to see life through Fuji's lens. I want to see his photography hung in a gallery, like pages from his private journal, and read the story he's buried in them.

Gah, he's so fascinating, and you've caught him so, so well. I've been a little fixated on him lately anyway, and now? I'm caught. Completely hung on him, stuffed in his pocket, waiting for him to open those smile-creased eyes and wondering what he'll see. Genius, indeed.

Okay, okay, okay. Maybe we could do a Fujifest co-challenge? Pictures at an exhibition. Gank image prompts off getty or something, and swap them out?

One of these days. At the moment you're in Doomed!Roy headspace, and I'm strenuously resisting the urge to chuck all of BadBird in the charcoal grill and light that sucker up. I really don't think I can make the sonofabitch work. I just don't have the toolkit to fix it, or precisely identify what about it is bugging the shit out of me. This is profoundly discouraging. One of these days, I would sincerely love to do a Fujifest co-challenge. But you are so right about the Doomed!Roy headspace; I can't even find my way out right now, and I've tried a few times. *shudders* Though I'm up past 1500 new words, and FINALLY getting into some of the things I've been wanting to reach forever!

But BadBird... oh, that sucks that it's being so mean to you! Unfair! Unkind!! But I don't think you should give up hope on it yet. I know you can coax it out, and while this may not be the advice you want to hear right now, maybe you should just toss it on the backburner once again. I watch you making leaps and bounds in your understanding of story process and construction, and the next time it tickles you to pick it up, think of how many new tools you'll have. And also, if it's making you unhappy, then there's no way it's going to come out right now. As aggravating as RD is for me at times, and as much as I want to kick Roy across the room, I'm still enjoying the fight. As long as it's something that makes ( ... )

ALESTORM!! Hah, that is awesome! We could burn each other data DVDs of stuff if you want, and swap that way? 4GB is a pretty decent chunk of music.

Also, it sucks that we live like, impossibly far apart. I'm going to Dallas next week, and we won't be hanging out. :( Drag.

good idea but I dont have a DVD burner... but then again external HD are fairly cheap.
