Doubling up again today because yesterday was devoted to watching Catching Fire and then being emotionally dead inside. With no further ado:

And then they team up and bring Angelus back and save the day and my heart expands, 'tis grown a bulge in it, etc. etc. It's the Watcher/Slayer duo they should have been from the start. A second chance can be a beautiful thing, friends.

*HEART ESPLODES*

Duo of awesome.

(I'd also like to point out that this entire arc indicates the way in which Angel is the patriarch from which "bad children" Faith and Wes long for validation.)

wow i never thought of it like that but it totally makes sense that way.

Of course, this is totally cold and ruthless. That's Wesley for you. But the point is to encourage her to prove those words wrong? The point is: You are better than the terrible way you see yourself. You can be better. (Maybe I can, too.)

ngl the rabid dog speech may be my favorite scene of theirs. for all those reasons.

I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. forever ship I wish had happened.

their dynamic is just fascinating on so many levels. actual mirrors. crying about it

also lol be glad you never read Merrick, if there was ever a book I wish I could unread.

seriously, half the book is like David and Louis wanting to revive Claudia's ghost (which sounds interesting in theory but in practice it was a mess) and they're like "Lestat would tell not to do this if he wasn't in a coma" and it's like dude if it's a bad enough idea that LESTAT wouldn't do it? that tells you a thing. or ten.

Faith and Wes are the greatest wrong!ship ever. It is known. Also you are making me want to read all those Rice books pretty badly. Damn you.

OMG Catching Fire. I watched it on Friday and I think that I might never be the same again. There's some cold shrivelled black thing where my heart used to be...
