LOL. Thank you for reading it! I always feel so guilty about the infrequent updates. Looking back, I don't understand why it was so hard to get this chapter done. All I had to do was throw out a couple of paragraphs, change the sequence of some sentences etc. :)
Maybe it's because I went away for a while to work on another project, an original novel that I'm writing in German.

Anyway, I'm really glad you're still interested and that you liked the update.
The family will be out tomorrow morning; I'm hoping to finish the next installment then.

I'm definitely still interested. There's not much Giles/Ethan around any more. Some usually surfaces during summer_of_giles (which I completely flunked out of contributing to this year), but otherwise...

When I think how popular it used to be. :(

Mind you, fic posting, and most of all commenting, is so down on LJ I can understand why people can't be bothered any more. It's sad, though.

Yeah, I've noticed that LJ is pretty quiet. I guess they moved to other places, dreamsomethingorother and other LJ-clones.
I am too lazy for anything new - heck, I even got a twitter account that I never use and never check.
I have a facebook account that I check regularly, but mostly for keeping tabs on distant relatives and local stuff...

I will finish this fic because I hate loose ends and because 90% of the rest is already written.

I know there are uncountable fandoms out there, but for me the Buffy phenomenon and fandom will always be unique
