DUDE I LOVE WALTZ o/ It was one of my "oh man let's learn how to play the piano version on the piano bc I can" and...yeah. My friends are huge fans of H&C, but (ironically) I don't think my heart can take the heartbreak of the slice-of-life that is H&C. ...One day.....+_+
That paragraph you have of Butch being Brick's go-to guy really got me thinking hahaha. I mean, ofc, Greens are my faves, so I'm gonna be thinking about their reactions and development more often than the others. This little piece of information is enough to send my mind in a whirlpool of "ohmygosh what's gonna happen what's he gonna do what does Butch know." (flailing)
In the interest of full disclosure H&C utterly destroyed me. I love it, I think it is absolutely brilliant, and despite some big problems I have with certain aspects of it I would watch it again and again. But the emotion in it wrecked me, completely. Jesus, there is some really outstanding character development in that show.
I love the dialogue in the beach overall, you're right, it just really flows well. Making characters flow is hard enough, but you manage to pull it off with...a lot of characters and that--that is just mind boggling. I can barely handle two and you nailed it right on the spot
