The good:
It looks like maybe Friday Night Lights will be renewed. The bad: I'm not sure I can keep watching Supernatural. I just read about Daybreak the other day, and I am already completely psyched to see this movie. It sounds totally wicked. Vampires! Yay! And it totally reminded me of another movie I was looking forward to seeing but had forgotten about Perfect Creature, another awesome sounding vampire flick with Saffron Burrows (rowr) and Dougray Scott.

Oh, and have you noticed that they're all perfectly shaped women? You would think Dean and Sam just let the heavy women die because I don't even think I've ever seen somebody not tremendously skinny walking in the background, let alone be the main focus of the show.

Yes! You've pretty much nailed what I enjoy so much about Supernatural, as well as why I was so disappointed with most of this last episode. Seperate the brothers, leave Dean and the Impala offscreen for much of the episode, and you're suddenly missing almost all of what the show does well. Put Sam by himself in a scenario where the writers have to try and write heavy interaction with secondary characters (including the hapless female victim and the woman who turns out to be evil after all in the same episode) and it just highlights the stuff at which it is less than good.

I'm still not sure if I'm going to watch it this fall or not. I imagine I'll be busy with school, especially since it will be my first semester back in years, so I won't have a lot of time as it is. Supernatural may not make the cut, and that makes me sad and frustrated, because with just a few tweaks, it could be this excellent show.
