Sorry I have been gone so long. It is a very long, unpleasant story. But I will shorten it. I have been having crippling back problems- complications from scoliosis -and the pain that goes with it, plus having a right leg that no longer works properly because of the back problems has left me pretty miserable. Hey you! I'm glad you're back.

One of my bestest friends had back surgery (her MD says she has the spine of an 80something at 50something) and it was the best thing that ever happened to her! I hope yours goes just as well.

Thanks! Funny thing, having hope for the future actually makes you want to talk to people. :) I have so much to catch up on! But it will have to wait until I get out of the hospital.
For this surgery I'm getting they are going to fix the damage done by the rod that was put in when I was 13. I had only a 45, but it was corkscrewed, so I had to have the surgery. Now come to find out that the type of fusion they did, after about 20 years it starts to destroy the disks below it. *Supposedly* this is the last surgery I'll have to have, because they are just going to fuse the rest of the vertebrae below the rod so no more damage done.

I thought LJ had gone mad when I saw the friending notification in my inbox this morning, but you're really back!! I was worried that we hadn't heard from you in such a long time and I hope the surgery goes well.
