Would you be annoyed if you read a story that was in two parts, or even two separate stories where the end of the first and the beginning of the next overlapped?

Like, a conversation was repeated between the two?

I wouldn't mind if it was a fairly short overlap, and the repetition showed another perspective on the event. In fact, I think it can be a neat device if used in moderation.

Wonderful. I only plan to use it that one time, so it's good to know that wouldn't be annoying.

I've always been wary of stories that use repetition like that, but a lot of them use it throughout the story, so . . .
