Y'all, if you haven't seen this yet (it's on Netflix FYI) OMG WATCH IT.

It was fantastic. Glorious. And MBB is just a continual joy.

In other news, the colonoscopy has been rescheduled by two weeks, more because I'm cheap and want to save a good $5000. But also because the last 24 hours have been a cluster and I'm going to totally end up on blood ( Read more... )

I would have to agree that 5 grand is worth waiting a couple weeks.

Good luck!

Lesson learned, of course. I'd have just panic-paid and moved along, never knowing that I could get a better deal by going through the doctor's physical office, instead of their satellite (which is connected to the hospital, and whyfor the price jump)

This is yet another thing they should teach in school, along with budgets, tax returns 101, and how to change a %*@#) tire.

You are completely correct about what should be taught. Also basic plumbing and electricity.

But a 5k difference. Health care is really fucked up here. Two weeks will matter a lot less than five grand, no matter the result.

Exactly. I've been dealing with this crap since December. Two more weeks won't phase me.

Especially because I'm not holding out much hope that anything'll be found. It'll end up being an allergy to flour or something equally stupid.

Saving 5 grand, yay! I'm sorry you need to have these tests, but the hoops our health-care system is making you jump through are infuriating.

Also glad to hear the movie is good! That was the best trailer I've seen in ages. Most of the trailers I've seen lately have been for: annoying romcoms, noisy confusing action movies, depressing social issues, horror movies that would look scarier if they gave a tiny clue what was going on, and movies that must be brilliant and visionary because the text on the trailer (not the trailer itself) told me so.

I've never really given much thought to either Henry Cavill OR Sherlock Holmes before last night, but sweet JESUS, that man, in that role, is a specimen of something else.

WOOF, yo. WOOF.

Totally impulse-bought all six of the Enola books, this morning, for the Kindle (paperbacks were all backordered on Amazon); and a full collection of all the SH stories, this afternoon, from the B&N up the street from work.

Of course, now I have to READ the damn things. XD
