So, I adore Terriers (enough to have sent a letter to FX begging them to give it a second season, and I'm curious as to why it makes you cringe. No judgment, just wondering. :-)

I like the show a lot, too, but it's been hitting my embarrassment squick lately. I liked it better when they were irreverent and snarky, now they are more emo than I prefer. But I do like the characters a lot, and I wish they would bring it back.

Oh, yeah, it definitely took a turn toward man!pain and angst in the second half of the season, for sure, and if you have a thing about men crying and being angsty, then it's definitely going to make you squirmy. I can see that. Of course, Britt's tears have nothing on Dean's single-emo-tear-of-doom. ;-)

I'm glad to hear you liked it enough to want to see a second season. I'd surely like to know what happens next.

There were more than a few Spn moments I watched from behind a pillow.

Matter of fact, my first and best show was full of moments that made me cringe. I seem to have a love/hate thing for the man pain.
