I have to write a report for my technical writing class, so I've chosen a topic, "Role-play and its Effectiveness as a Teaching Tool."

I've created a very simple (5 question) survey on survey-monkey and would like people to take it, if they're willing. The question pertain to whether or not you've been involved in professional role-play ( Read more... )

I've told my coworkers that I'm like unto a Messiah and that they should bring me tribute- does that count?

Done!

One survey design note: in the section where it asks "Did you find this beneficial?" after each field-related question, it's not set up to allow you to skip, but if I've never been involved in a medical training role-play, the question of whether I found it beneficial is meaningless. Which is fine, not terribly important, but my initial impulse was to leave it blank, and then the software made me go back and fix it, so I chose "no". So, maybe a "not applicable" option, or put "if not applicable, just choose no" in the directions, or if it's possible to make some lines "not required", that might be the way to go.

I did use Role-Play in the quickest job I ever had - 1 day with MassPirg. That was a joke from all angles.

Now that I think about it I've actually used it at a residential care facility. It was ok.

So, sure, I'll be a victim.

I once used muskets and guerrilla tactics as bonuses in rock/paper/scissors to teach a class about how an outnumbered Continental Army beat the Redcoats.
