Mirror Yousuke didn't want to be involved in this "revolution," and he made it rather clear. He didn't see the point. He thought that all of them were going to be killed by the queen, taught a lesson, and then go back to their reflective lives with their tails tucked between their legs.

That would be it. They'd still disappear after reals left, and everything would be as it was. He thought it was right that way.

Of course, he didn't understand the full picture of Wonderland. With this attitude he probably never would.

Yet, here he was.

For a long time he just lingered in front of the mirror in his room. He knew he could leave, but he wasn't sure if he wanted to. Did he belong there? No, he didn't. But he could, and the curiosity wouldn't leave him alone. It practically burned. He even had the perfect excuse ( ... )

Yousuke was one of the people Souji had been looking for, so when he saw who he thought was Yousuke further down the hallway from him, he called out to him and jogged a few steps to catch up to him.

"Yousuke. Wait up."

The sound of that voice sends a chill up his spine and his feet fumble for a split second as he can't decide if he wasn't to stand still, turn around, or run the fuck away. He always had that reaction to him, like he knew it was horrible and yet he still wanted it. Humans surely had strange desires.

But he remembers where he is, and he knows from his own false memories that the one in this side was anything but dangerous.

Compromising between his three instincts, he takes a few unsure steps forward, then turns just enough that he can get a look at the real Souji. They were definitely the same, but this one... The kindness was warm instead of cold. Still, he couldn't feel at ease.

That fumbling silence is an odd reaction and Souji's smart enough to put two and two together pretty easily. He slows, but still approaches Yousuke, more curious than wary.

"You're his Mirror?"
