Doing a Starfox piece for fun for a contest at DA which gets you to redraw an oldschool game cover. I'm doing the Start menu graphic thingie for Starfox 64, since I played the shit out of that game.

So far... I have colored Slippy and Fox!

Slippy really caught my eye, he's so cute!! I hope you don't mind a minor critique though, normally I don't give them out unless I am asked, but these are so cute I can't help but want to see them be even cuter! Watch your highlights and shadows a little more carefully and remember that slippy is a spherical shape all around (especially in your drawing here). I'd remove the highlights on his pants and instead add shading, you can re-add highlights on the lower legs and feet/shoes and that should help his shape be much more easy on the eyes- also a little bit of shading to the lower jaw... but speaking of eyes I LOVE his.

The same goes for fox, but he's not near as noticeable ^^ just watch your shades/highlights a bit closer. I do love them both though! (I know, I don't comment on your art much and I hate to break that on a fan art, but my childhood nostalgia is strong!)

I love starfox so much, are you going to do the rest of the crew? :D

Dude, yes!!! Critique is good, thanks so much! I'll fix em up later and post them again and then you can say if it's better! I think I know what you mean, and yeah I agree I should shade Slippy a bit more. I think I'm inbetween wanting to shade them all completely or making some sort of shade-free cartoony feel. Oh well, I'm gonna take your advice tonight and fix em up though!
