I must apologize for using the text option. I'm afraid I am only able to speak English and several other languages, Japanese not being amongst them.

My name is Miles Edgeworth and I work as a prosecutor here in the city. The information I give you may seem far-fetched, but it would be very wise to take it to heart.

You were brought here, as as the rest of us, by a group of scientists. You're in the city of Discedo on what seems to be a foreign planet called Fortuna--two moons are visible at night. A chip, which can be removed by the doctors here, somehow suppresses the supernatural powers of those who have not had it removed. There also seem to be other effects of the chip but they do not occur ... too often.

Lastly, the residencies and supplies here are free, but there are dangerous creatures and monsters that roam the city.

I should also make a note of the fact that people from different worlds as well as different time lines are brought here.
