Wow. Sounds awesome and scary at the same time. It really does sound like you're in the right place at the right time though.

I'm so excited for you! Richmond is a cool place, adn you're right about DC. I miss it. I don't miss the traffic, but i miss the histyr and the culture and the social scene. It was always so cool to be in a place that never goes to sleep.

When are you getting internet? I want you to keep updating your LJ because I want to hear all about it as it happens!

Have a ball!!!

Hopefully I run into my neighbors today and they can give me their password. We need internet, so it is just a matter of time. I love Richmond so far, can't wait for school to start too. I am bored with no TV and internet.

i'll keep you posted

Okay, I promise I will, but I am already swamped and it is only my second day of class. You know I put love into my packages, and love means time, and school means time too. You might have to be patient. You might have to come visit, but you would never do that.

Okay good stuff

Why's it a moral conflict? I'd definitely make a new t-shirt!

I don't have any supplies anymore, but I have some ideas what don't involve ink. I want to think outside the box and push myself with every assignment.

Hmm. In the advertising world, some people only make it because of their connections and things they can pull from their past. Like your consumer whore shirt!

But there is something more honest and rewarding about starting from scratch, and doing it clean from the start. Like everyone else, like the person who doesn't have anything and never made a shirt in his life.

It's just a shirt, but it seems like this huge philosophical situation when you think about it too long!

thats pretty much what I think. I just see I didn't come here to stay in my comfort zone and look for the loopholes. I came here to do it the best, maybe the hardest way, I can.

What are you doing these days?

awww i was mentioned in your entry! love!
I actually never had to deal with DC traffic. The metro would get alittle crazy around rush hour, but nothing like a 2hour commute!

Also, I say you use your consumer whore shirt. Its perfect! Unless you come up with something new, stick with that. Its like the advertising gods are speaking to you, giving that as your first assignment.

I know right? It is the perfect shirt, and so true. I do want to use this assignment to its full potential though, and I want to push myself here. I'm going to put everything into school here, and I don't really want to start with just getting by with premade art. I am thinking I need to go back to the drawing board with this one.

Yeah it is really expensive to live here. What I couldn't give to find a dive bar too. With over 30 bars in walking distance I can't afford 4 bucks for a pint of beer at most places. Beer selection is incredible though, everything I want is on tap everywhere. Loans only go a few grand over tuition, the rents are a good helping hand, and some spare funds I have from working at MSU.

The cookies were delicious. Emma didn't like when I said they were crumby though, which they were. (meaning they fell apart in my hand.)
