Yeah, Santa Claus is thousands of years older than Jesus. The only thing new about him is the name and the kinder, jollier attitude. This personification of the Solstice is probably one of the oldest gods, if he can even be called a god, in existence.

Its Clinton from an old (but classic!) Onion article.

My own expert analysis of the symbols in use on the uniform have lead me to believe THEY took it from a picture of none other than Muammar Kadafi.

Your picture of the day needs a caption. Suggestion: "Kristy saying 'no-no-no' as I take a picture." Also that picture was definitely taken in 2005 before the going-away-get-together for all us study-abroaders. I did not wear that scandalous frock to Easter dinner as the entry implies!
