This fic was written for Round 7 at remixthedrabble. The original author was my friend and erstwhile neighbor sororcula whose fic I remixed was A Little Closer. I had really hoped to get assigned to her because I had a specific fic in mind to remix (The Megan-centric Rewind Series Mad Mission), but alas once I put myself to the task I couldn't manage to distill it down to a drabble I'd be happy with it, so I let that fic stand - untouchable. The little Charlie/Billy nugget felt full of possibility though and since I had easily chosen Mel's Charlie/Billy to remix already I decided to let my affection for the pairing win out so I chose A Little Closer to play with.

FWIW this is an extremely rare drabble that's not on the 100s. (It might be my only one.) For all the proper drabble comms I've been involved with, I don't think I've ever published anything that wasn't 100, 200 or 300 words spot on. I kind of don't count remixthedrabble as a proper drabble comm since they allow up to 500 word fic, so I figured I could write this to 150 and not tweak too hard over it
