I love this.
It had been Dean who had gotten Sam's soul back and Sam had pieced his mind together for Dean, to not leave his brother out there alone, but it had been Sam who did it. It had been Sam who had taken the pieces of his own shattered mind and had put them back together.

Broke me. I only hope Zeke is this determined to help and not harm Sam.

Even knowing what I know about Gadreel now, this story is amazing. I can't believe the writers have completely glossed over that Sam was once a vessel before, and it was terrible beyond measure. You've hit on those old threads and also shown what makes Sam an incredible character.
