Oh this was such a great read! I especially loved your Steve-the combination of his endearing bossiness and Steveishness and wanting so badly to do right by Danny. *hearts him* I know I'll be back to read the whole thing again!

I love how you started the fic showing that even casual, seemingly harmless commands still have power over Danny. The criminal's belligerent "Go fuck yourself," seems so innocuous, but it still controls Danny. I never really thought about what effect the little things would have on Danny. I also liked that you basically retold episodes with this added layer to it; I remember wishing that there were more long lengthed Steve/Danny fics that actually went through the episodes and showed their evolving feelings for each other. So this hit my yearning wonderful <3

It's one of the things that always intrigued me when I read the original book, how would Ella's curse work in a modern-day context? Because people give orders ALL THE TIME without even thinking (And infomercials, man, they're rough). And of course once I had the idea in my head, it would only work if Danny was the one who was cursed. ;)

THAT SCENE. It was a difficult scene for me to write, even knowing how things would turn out. And poor Steve. <3 And also, the bit with Matt... ;___; (that was actually one of the first scenes I thought of in my head, when I got the idea for my story).

I enjoyed writing the Wo Fat bits more than I perhaps should have....buuuut that because I love angst (provided it's resolved).

I know you gave me some of your reactions over IM already, but I can't tell you how much it means that you enjoyed this. <333 LOVE

The informercials bit was a surprise, but as soon as you mentioned it I went, "Oh man, informercials. Of course."

Yes, poor Steve. The situation isn't easy on either of them :( BUT YAY HAPPY ENDINGS. I imagine Danny will take great delight in saying "No" to people for some time. MATTY. HOW COULD YOU. I'd be interested to see how *that* reunion is going to go.

What a lovely fic, I think you blended together the Elle Enchanted curse in very nicely with h50 canon, very seamless and nice to see actual episodes worked in :) A delightful read! :D

I just read this all in one go and it was amazing. Danny fighting his curse throughout his life, Rachel finding out, Grace knowing, Matt using it against him (that one hurt me!) and the first time for Steve and Danny, and Steve knowing just what to do, just what to say, to make it so pleasurable for them. And then we have Wo Fat, who is so damn evil, but he did enable Danny to break the curse. True love will break any curse, it's a well-known fact LOL. I love you for writing this and am glad LJ behaved long enough for me to read it, although I did have to keep refreshing the page to keep reading. (Oh, and on a side note, by a coincidence, I posted a bunny earlier where Danny ends up under hypnosis and has to obey Steve's orders LOL.) Thanks for sharing this, it made my night.
