The building in the first pic is amazing! Where is that, is that in Dusseldorf?

Since no one else answered this question: yes, it's an area in Düsseldorf called Hafen. That particular building is by Frank Gehry (big surprise). There is another building across the river from this that is covered with little cartoon men crawling all over it. There's a pretty good bar/restaurant here too (Meerbar), although it is a little pricey.

I speak from experience of the joy of a north london accent saying "four-finger kit-kat".

There's something so english-twit about "shot through with Peanuts and Caramel".

Sadly, the english are never as fascinating as their gleeful words and accent would lead you to believe.
