X-Men Big Bang: The Body in the Bedroom Art Post

So here it is, my art for the wonderful Telperion_15, who wrote the amazing 'The Body in the Bedroom'. it's incredibly well-written, intersting and well paced and it was an honour to be the artist for this fantastic fiction.

Oh my goodness, these are amazing! Thank you so much! I love all the little details in them, like the candlesticks and flowers on the mantelpiece, and the lace on Moira's sleeves, in the first one, and the perfume on the dressing table in the second one. And I really adore all the textures too, in the wallpaper and fabrics, especially in the last one, which quite apart from all that is just beautiful in its composition - I want to print it out and hang it on my wall! (And I completely love that Charles is having to go slightly on tiptoes to kiss Erik!).

Oh, and you illustrated Charles playing the piano - men playing the piano is such a kink of mine (that's mainly why it ended up in the fic!), so this is brilliant!

Again, I am so glad you like them! I wish I could have put more little details in, but unfortunately I drew on A4 so it left me with not much room to work with, something I will learn from next time. I suck at composition so the fact you like it in the last one is just amazing so thank you, and haha I have a bit of a 'thing' for their height difference.

As for the piano scene, I also have such a kink for men playing piano, I knew I wanted to draw it as soon as I read it! <3

I just love the way they're framed by the curtains in the last one - it's all very romantic! (Can curtains be romantic? *g*). And yes, I have that thing for the height difference too!

ahaha I think most things can be romantic with the right setting. I just thought that scene with them in Charles room in front of the window was all very romantic and touching. One of my favourite parts!

I love these, especially the first one - the wallpaper, Moira's dress, the card players in the corner... all the details are lovely! And I like the way the light from the fireplace doesn't reach the corners; the shadows on the edges give it a bit of a sinister feel that matches the story perfectly.
