Ed stands outside of Sarah's apartment for a moment, listening to make sure he didn't have... unfortunate... timing. Once assured that his alt wasn't there, he knocks on the door.

Sarah looks up from her game (jeez, she's been playing that a lot), blinking a minute before flipping it closed and going to answer the door. "Uh...hey, Ed. Something up?"

"N-no...it's better you warned me. Thanks." She smiles, and it's not completely shaky.

Ed fidgets. "Only ability of hers that I know about is the whole thing with talking in my head and probably poking around while she was in there. Back when she was still alive, she tried to get grabby with me. Don't know what would have happened but I didn't particularly feel like finding out."

Ed pauses. "Well, one or two of those times she was just trying to cop a feel, but the other times..."

Sarah grimaces, nodding. "I'll keep an eye out for any creepy advances from black-robed freaks."

"Well, like I said, AV Field should hopefully force her to leave you alone. Physically at least. She also likes playing mind games."

Ed goes back to fidgeting, ready to change to a more cheerful topic.

She nods, fidgeting again. Sadly, no distracting topics seem to come to mind.

"I should probably get going since we seem to be stuck in awkward silence mode. It'd probably be easier to think of something to say if it weren't for the previous topic. That kind of... sucked out my ability to come up with something distracting to say."

She nods, standing again. "Hopefully we'll be able to avoid these moments someday."

Ed stops perching on the edge of the chair to stand as well. "I'm pretty sure it's just a case of talking about Eris being a mood-killer this time, but yeah."

"Mmn." She starts toward the door. "I don't mind you dropping by if you ever want to just...talk or whatever."

Ed follows Sarah, still fidgeting a bit. "Okay. I just... feel twitchy about running into him. And I also kind of feel like I'm invading his territory by coming over."

"You're my friend. He can't stop me from hanging out with you. And what're you talking about 'territory' for? This is my place too."

Ed's shoulders hunch in a bit. "Sorry. Just... instincts kicking in a bit I guess," he mumbles.

"Back home we all considered our rooms to be our own territory where the others weren't welcome. And well, he made it clear to me the one time we met that I wasn't welcome."

"Well, I say you're welcome." She smiles gently.

Ed smiles back uncertainly. On the one hand, one inhabitant wanted him nowhere near the place, on the other...

Sarah laughs a little. "Seriously, don't worry--I have my ways of handling him~" ...that smile is far too innocent.
