I always get so depressed with the Toby losing Sasha fics, because I can see it happening. But this was so good and depressing and wonderful.

Yeah... Depressing's kind of what I am for in OMO... This was my big "gen" fic that's completely divergent from all the other ship fics. I wanted to explore the ramifications of him leaving his kid and going off somewhere for years, and how things would never quite be right ever again (which sucks because in a lot of ways she's his only lifeline), but he would eventually see that she turned out okay and kind of be able to move on.
