Written for the 15minuteficlets prompt this week - I had a couple of ideas for this one - but I went with this.

TITLE: Irreversible
RATING: PG13 (Gen)

...that hurt. not just dean in a coma attached to a heart monitor, but that john doesn't know how to deal with it. he doesn't know how to be just dad any more.

Thank you! Yep, it was like that for me. I know Dean's going to wake up, so what really hurts here is that John doesn't know how to speak to him like a dad. He can only be a commanding officer. And he's beginning to realise it for himself.

You know Dean's going to be fine. And John will get this sheepish look on his face and tell him to stop being so lazy and get his ass up out of bed. And Dean will KNOW what he means is 'love you, kiddo, you scared me to death, don't do that again, okay'
