...sometimes a well-placed adverb can do wonders. That one seems pretty important. Too bad there aren't thirteen different words to express the "edit" concept. If there were, I could certainly procrastinate on my revision and do a post about it.;)
And the "right" way to revise can change from project to project, depending on the novel's needs. At some point, you just have to dive in and do it. Good luck on your revisions!
It's so true--the only way to find out what works for you is to try. I found the one-pass idea helpful in part, but only in part and know it's going to take me at least another one or two passes before I'm ready to submit.
