Re-visiting a meme from last year...

Mar 10, 2013 19:30

So, a little over a year ago I did the WIP meme.

And looking back I'm feeling rather accomplished.

I finished My Immortal 2, and wrote all of Trust Me (I'm a Lying Liar Who Lies) and am now working on Chapter 19 of Dating the Cleverest Boy in the World, when the excerpt I posted then was the beginning of Chapter 9. (Which has moved the story from ( Read more... )

writing, meme, not the last

\o/ I wish I could offer endless cookies to anyone who has a stab at my Not the Last 'verse, because I delve into so many things. If you're interested go to the master post - they [all the individual stories I mean] should all stand alone, more or less, if there's anything that takes your particular fancy.

Oh Jack and Eleven. Young Ten doesn't even know he's married, bless his little cotton socks. (It's set post-The Angels Take Manhattan, btw. Should probably add a note.) And I really want to finish it, it just will not work. *stabs*

Aw, thank you. <3 It's all marvellous in my head, but when I try to put it down it just... *waves hands* Won't behave. I'll get there eventually, but so far it's not happening.

♥ ♥ ♥ Still can't believe you caught up on the whole thing so quickly! Would have posted an excerpt from the next chapter, but none of it works in isolation, and it's all in bits still.

*hugs back*

Oh god, me too! And I don't suppose it helps that one of these isn't even posted yet, and the other is a giant, sprawling 'verse... (Mind you, most of the giant sprawling 'verse is divided up into handy, manageable chunks, but still - it is a 'verse.)

*sighs*

I am incapable of writing short. And thus have next to no time for reading. /o\

I shall add one of the chunks to my to-read list, then!

I'm happy someone writes longfic, though! Its very existence is yayful! But no time for reading is indeed /o\...

Bless you. <3 <3 <3 I'd recommend either the first story, mostly from the Doctor's POV (starts here: http://elisi.livejournal.com/274270.html) or The Problem With Boxing Day, which is all from Alex's POV when he's 6 (starts here: http://elisi.livejournal.com/452875.html). Both of them give a good basic grasp of the set-up. (And bitty!Alex is wonderful. I love writing kids, they're so much fun. And you get to see the Doctor's parenting skills, and find out how Alex becomes who he is.) (I love him far too much. /going away now)

I like shortfic, since it's easier to read... *g* (And your fics are just delightful!)
