This week Inside Reader is Alex Beecroft. Enjoy her list!

I've been making up m/m stories in my head since I was 11. At that time-sometime around the period when Stonehenge was built-I believed I was the only person in the world who ( Read more... )

Thanks, Alex, for sharing this list - ticked a lot of boxes with me, expecially The Persian Boy. And added some to my ever growing 'to read' list.

Ah, Maurice! My first ever classic homosexual read. I still need to purchase it for myself. Have you seen the Merchant/Ivory film "Maurice"? It does the book great justice, and even has a better explanation for Clive's change. :-D

Ooh, Wicked Gentlemen! Another absolute favourite of mine! XD

You know, your posts (and the reviews of others) make me want to go in for reviewing, too. I have loads of books to share, too. :-)

You really should! It's amazing. Hugh Grant was clearly in his true glory days when he portrayed Clive in this film. I have not many advice from a writer point of view since I'm not ;-) But from a reviewer point of view, I hosted some reviewer in the past, basically to review the Top 100 Gay Novels (the list you find in my tags), so if you want, I'm willing to give you a space to discuss your opinion with other people. And I believe that among my friends list there are many writers that will be willing to cover the other side, the writer side ;-) Elisa

Amazing reviews! Reading reviews like this always makes me want to go out and buy the books. Pity I don't have the money!

But I was rather delighted to see a Lord John book on here. ^^ I've got Lord John and the Brotherhood of the Blade sitting on my bookshelf, and keep meaning to hunt down the other books in that series.

Oh really? I haven't read it yet (obviously) so I wouldn't know. Although yes, I suppose Brotherhood was rather on the angsty side of things. Very dramatic and all. ^^
