I'm sitting here wondering if anyone might know about anywhere I could get a roster from WWII? I know my father served in the war, but I'd like to try and find out exactly where, when and in what squadron/division/platoon he might've been in. I thought maybe it would help me find some pictures of him from that time if any exist. Any help will be

You'd have to start with where he grew up...where would he have joined up with the army? If it was St. Thomas you could try local records though if they don't have that kind of stuff online or electronically you'd have to go back there physically most likely to find it.

www.ancestry.com is allowing free searches on their site from Nov 1 - 3. You might not get any pictures, but you can get other information that could help you in your search. I found my grandfather's WWII enlistment record. It showed his rank and what his job was.
