ohhh I was wondering how those bots were adding people o.O;;; couldn't figure out the connection and I thought it'd be by the age of journals or something. But I noticed a lot of them were adding you too XDDD I've been reporting them too but lately they haven't been getting rid of them >>; At least they seemed to have stopped for now.
I've never had problems with slow servers but that's probably because I have a permanent account... XD
Ugh yeah, ever since that Russian buyout indeed. Omg, 5 of them >__> Ugh, they're back again for me too. I'm turning off that email search function too. Is it okay if I just set it to the "don't show my username?"
I show my e-mail to my friends list only, no search from my e-mail and minimum both my account and comments from search engine. Not promote entries on LJ homepage too. Not sure about not show user name, maybe it's paid account only.
Speed seems normal now. But I already commented on their news entry and contacted the support team. Since it happened right after they launched the new update.
I hate those bots! I was getting none for a while and then all of a sudden I started getting them again in a lot bigger number than before. A few days ago I ended up reporting 9 in one day. And LJ isn't getting rid of them very quickly.
I've been on LJ for almost 9 years and there was never a problem with bots until the Russians bought the site last year. They're clearly doing something wrong and whatever it is they need to fix it.
