Today is our 4-year anniversary. Wow. The last four years have been quite the wonderful, crazy, stressful, emotional, loving rollercoaster ride. I never would have thought that spending the summer portraying a woman on the Titanic would lead me to the man that I will marry in a few short months. Today was unbelievable. John and I arrived at 6am at Kettering Medical Center. Amy had already checked in. Within 30 minutes, we had a small party going on: Amy's other half-sister, her dad, two aunts, 3 cousins, Amy's "husband", John and me. Her step-mom and grandma showed up as we were leaving. Amy's surgery is tomorrow morning. Positive thoughts and prayers would be wonderful and would mean a lot to us. Thank you.

Amy called with a date set for her surgery: April 2nd. She says she is happy that she has a date set. She isn't so happy that they have to shave her head. She is really freaked out by that. I just finished putting together Chili in my crockpot for tomorrow. However, I realized that I'm missing two of the spices. I have a good 20 some spices but not the two needed for this recipe. How does that happen? I should probably get rid of the spices I do have while I'm at it considering they are at least 4 years old. That might be a good start ( Read more... )
