I'm so sorry to hear you were attacked, Miss. I guess I was fortunate to be on a deserted desert island.

I'm glad Detective Holmes found you though. You should be just fine with him. He's a very wise man.

A deserted island? Fortunate you didn't starve.

I've read quite a bit about him, so I have quite enough faith in his capabilities. He's a strange but smart man.

That was a bit of a problem. I was fortunate enough to be saved by the Marines.

Is he famous? He seems to be quite a scholar. I'm tempted to seek his advice sometimes.

Marines? I had thought about joining myself.

In my world, he's a fictional detective that is considered the most brilliant in literature and story alike.

A Major to top it off. Tell me, Major Kusanagi, what army do you serve - or, rather, did serve - in your home world?

I've jumped from a number of places--Japan's conventional military forces, black ops, the Japanese Ground Self-Defense Forces, as well as the Japanese Public Safety Commission... I've been known to jump around in occupation quite a few times.

Don't worry, I think it can be re-attached without a worry.

But didn't it hurt? 'Cause it totally seems like it would.

Can he fix your arm?

I'm sure he can, if I just help out with which wires do what.

Sounds like this has happened to you before.

I need to know a little about the schematics of my body, and it has happened quite a few times previous. Another day in the life, really.
