Baby Falcons

I promised this for a long time, so finally, have the story of our baby falcons! Click on the images for full size.

To explain, we have an old house with a small attic that has a window. The outside of the house has brickwork, with a small hole where the window is. My Dad installed a box behind it, as a potential home for kestrels. He didn't have

Oh wow! They're amazing! You're so lucky to have them nesting in your house like that! What a clever dad you've got to install the box (and three cheers for the removable lid!) So sad to see them go though! Will keep everything crossed that they return next year!

Also: *smishes Owlee* Hope you and your dad are doing okay lately.

*smishes back* We did see a kestrel around this year, but we also have a lot of crows (which is awesome in its own way) and they don't play well with each other. I guess that's one reason. We'll see!

And we're doing ok. I had surgery again last week, hopefully the last one, damn fistula! And Dad is on the road pretty often and is fit and well, so we're good :-)
