That is an *insane* cake! And what's with the spiderman... joke... thing?

Well, only about half the cake is real, but it looks impressive as hell, don't it? I'm not sure what the deal was, they are both teachers, and the Spiderman guy was one of the bride's co-workers...they did this huge skit thing, which seemed entertaining to those in the know, but I was a bit clueless.

One of my students told me about this: it's actually sort of a tradition in Japan for friends and co-workers of the bride and/or groom to do a sketch in honor of the couple. It's usually filled with in-jokes from work or university, so a lot of times the couple's parents and older relatives are clueless as well. ^_~
