I am here in my new house, after 3 years of turmoil of trying to move, of saving up, of worrying about landlords and everything horrible. We found a house to rent-- the top floor of a house. Warm and full of light-- pets are happy here-- street is so quiet it does not even feel like city ( Read more... )

I would always want to read your fic. I rarely come to LJ, but I could respond to an incentive!

Yay! I am happy for you.

>>I am between jobs again, have been resting for the past few weeks, sleeping late, waking to blue and yellow light. I look around and think, this is so beautiful, I should write it down, and then some other thing happens, and the day ends, and I have not.<<

At least one type of flash fiction could work great, a postcard story. Get some local postcards, or photograph your home and make them into postcards, then write.

Two poetic forms are also ideal for this: haiku and acrosticsThe idea is to make something so short and easy, you can jot it down the moment you think of it, before you get called away. Snapshot literature has an old and honorable history ( ... )

Welcome back! Welcome aboard!
I think I'd read whatever you might want to post. I need some variety in what shows up on my Friends Feed on LJ. Usually one other individual who posts constant updates of his daily activities, and then I spot my somewhat occasional posts. (once or twice a week, maybe)Will be nice to see something else in the mix now and then.

A lot of folks seem to blame the diminished utilization of LJ on the Russians, but I think it's more because folks got caught up with the more trendy social media sites. Facebook, Twitter, and more.

Congratulations on the new house! Moving is such an ordeal, but it helps if there's a nicer place at the end of it. Glad the pets and everyone are happy.

Can't really tell :) Living in my second flat in fifty years now. I moved not more than 25 yards lol. But as you said - something new is always good to sort things out, finding old things, getting rid of them or finding new connections to the life ahead.
Good to hear that your pets love it :) How are they doing?

And yes about writing! Tomorrow the next NaNo starts. Maybe you could join in? www.nanowrimo.org I would love to read new fics from you :)

PS: Can you PM me your new adress? For Christmas cards :)

Thinking of you xxx
