There are some things he's learned to expect, in time and on time, every time. A death threat is one, a bop upside the head with a paper fan is another, and a gun going off in his or Gojyo's general direction is the third.

If any one of these things comes late, something is either deadly wrong or incredibly stupid.

Given their luck, it usually winds up being both.

Saiyuki - Hakaryuu/Hakkai - fork

"You're being unreasonable," Hakki tells him, but all he gets is an annoyed trill in response.

"I'd expect this sort of behavior from Gojyo -" "Hey!" "- but you at least should know better."

This time, Hakaryuu gnaws on his hair. "It's unsanitary to share snacks," he tells him, and the little dragon makes off with his bandanna as well.

"I'll get you your own plate?" he offers, and sighs when his eyeglass goes missing.

"All right, fine," he sighs, "I'll share the cheesecake with you. Now will you give me back my fork, please?"

It - along with his glasses, bandanna, and - wallet? When did he filch that? - lands on his head, while Hakaryuu lands happily in his dessert and promptly demolishes it.

So much for that.
