Everybody, please, do not panic. We will inform you about the Admiral's condition as soon as the situation is confirmed. Until then, remain calm and listen to the officers on the ship. We will give you updates on the incident as they come.

Miles, my friend...you do realize you are not the ship's First Officer, correct?

[HRK!] I...I am well aware of that, sir, and I had no intention of challenging Commander von Karma's authority. I merely wished to nip any potential problems in the bud.

Old habits die hard, I suppose! Perfectly understandable.

Is there really nothing else we can do...?

I'm afraid there is little we can do at this point. The best we can do is keep our ears open and hope for the best.

That is troubling, but understandable.

What we need are a few projects to keep divert attention or at least give them something to focus on.

Any ideas?

None at the moment. For now, though, we shall continue our usual duties. That will have to hold their attention for now.

[Audio-able sigh] Might as well make some rounds, for once, and see how everyone is holding up.

A wise decision. Report any problems or suspicious activity to me immediately. Am I understood?

We don't even know what happened. Why the mass panic?

That's precisely why there is a panic. When people lack information, confusion and fear take hold over logic and reason. It takes a strong mind to overcome this base instinct and remain calm and rational.

Isn't that just when things go wrong for sure?

Different people lose control at different times. ...though, I'm not saying that anybody on this ship will lose control.

Not to mention panic is neither helpful nor remotely useful.

Quite. The best thing people can do to help is to remain calm and rational.
