Thank you very much again to those who wished me a happy birthday on Tuesday! It was a relatively quiet day, to be sure. I guess as you get older you do less celebrating of the day and focus more on simply enjoying it. Besides, 29 isn't really important. Happy Late Birthday wish to you! (your bday didn't pop up on my list of bday's so sorry for the late greeting!)

I have to agree - I'm not happy about the remake of CotT, but I watched a trailer for V out of curiousity, and though I liked the original when I saw it, I think this could be interesting, though more likely they are going to butcher it. I guess what intrigues me the most is that the actress from Firefly is going to be the main "baddy", so that being the case, I'm more curious to see her play a different type of role.

And that be my two cents worth! ;)

BTW: did the email reach you? I sent it to you G mail account...

Eh, I know that I shouldn't be closed minded about movie remakes - give everything a shot to be good or bad and all. They just kind of rub me the wrong way, you know? Still... Morena Baccarin IS a great actress... What to do, what to do?

Doh! Guess I must have missed the comment when I tried to check back. Well, glad you like it! I'll probably ink and color it this weekend then! :)

As for remakes - it's hard to not get annoyed with them, I admit to initial grumbling as well, but if you look at what Hollywood is putting out most these days, 80% are remakes. Whenever I get annoyed I remember that the recent The Italian Job is still one of my favorite movies, so I'm willing to give things a chance. (Granted, I'm pretty sure I'll avoid Land of the Lost for now.) ;)

Repetative as though certain movies may be, you're right, I should give them their chance. It's hard to resist the urge to think "CRAP!" right out of the gate, though.

Hmm... for every new The Italian Job, however, you get a plethora of Gone In 60 Seconds and Flight of the Phoenix. >.> Can't win them all, I guess.
