*a little bit traumatised*

Oh fucking hell... I was googling Soft Ballet for info and pics and ended up on a page that I THOUGHT was Wikipedia. >_>; My shock grew into rage as I read the slanderous background for Maki Fuji, wich involved, Endo, Ken, Atsushi, and Imai as well, in all sorts of afairs, etc. I was about to post on the coms to ask for help with edditing the ( Read more... )

At least the Imai roleplayer was very clear that this is fictios and placed a short section about the REAL Imai seperate from a breif and vague RP entry in wich she clarified that this was a 'muse' not the real Imai.

If all the RPers at least had that much decensy it wouldn't be as bad, though it's still fucking creepy.

I want to cuntpunt that sleezy Maki Fuji roleplayer.

Wow, I never would have expected Morioka to be married and have children... his persona always seemed as flamboyantly gay as posible. But I guess it just goes to show that we should never assume.

One of the things that bothers me so much about publickly posted fanfics, roleplays, doujinshi, and even some of the more questionable fan art is the posability that not only could it hurt the fealings of the band members themselves, but that their families could stumble upon this shit. Even their children. That would be the worst, if their children found some of this stuff. Don't these 'fans' have any sence? 0_0

Aw... I realy need to learn Japanese. But it looks so daunting.

o_o; That's....odd. I don't like the wiki-copy sites..unless there is a huge difference. [like the pokemon wiki-like site. x3] anyways.
I can't stand real-person roleplays. I do love reading fanfiction..but I suppose there's differences. I could never just pretend to be ..oh..let's say Toll. :B and act like him. How do you know that's what he would really do? Kinda like...putting words into people's mouth. [sorta.] And another thing, having it public? At least with the jrock rps on lj..the communities are FO...make it private. ~_~

Even with fanfiction, though, it's the same thing sometimes... portraying the bandmembers in a way they didn't choose to be portrayed, know what I mean? I can understand how fans want to combine their love of the band with their love of fiction, comic books, writing, drawing... but putting words into their mouths and having them do things they might not in real life is rather creepy when you realy think about it. I understand some fans are very well intentioned about it, and I respect the ones who keep the fiction to private LJs and such. But generaly I think fans get a little lost in their lust for the band sometimes and forget about the line between reality and fantasy. It's realy disturbing.

Yeah. xx; Which is why I kick myself in the head for reading it sometimes. But some fans..you're right..they just go crazy with it. o_o;

I can sympathise with you. I've read a tiney bit of ArienRisu's fics because she's my friend, and I know she respects the bandmembers as people and that she keeps this stuff just between friends. It's still a little uncomfortable, but I want to encourage her as a writer because she is good at it.

I realy just hate seeing any suport for real people fiction that's hosted in a very publick manner. It's just plain lazy and disrespectful for people to share real people fics in easily acsessed publick places. There's always that issue of the bandmembers, or worse yet the bandmember's children if they have any, coming across it. I wish people would just keep it to forums and coms where you have to join to view the materials. Then the fans could enjoy their hobby while showing some respect to the famous people who inspired them.

Lisa and I used to be awful... we would IM roleplay for 20 hours straight, and the more sleepy we got, the worse shit we came up with and the funnier we thought it was. God, if I could only find my script from the two-dayer with no sleep we did... for half of it my power was out from storms and I was running the comp off a little desktop generator. We dubbed it "Elvis's Castle 'o Incest" and I tell you, some of the stuff we RPed about, I could never even do now because I've had to live a little too much and realize it isn't funny. We were young and crazy and nymphomaniacs. But ah, the memories. I have never in my life laughed as much as that ( ... )

I completely understand that. I know what you mean. My sister is downright anal retentative about being respectful of bands and not assuming to much, and even her and I have had rediculous IM 'what if' moments after reading an interview where someone said something strange, or after puzling over lyrics. It's normal. But what people do with it is exactly the problem lately ( ... )

Hmm I don't even remember, most got wiped out when my famous computer dubbed Harry Potter crashed. I wrote a lot of LOTR-related poetry for a fansite I was a flaming member of (back where I met Lisa once upon a time actually), and I had a whole spinoff HP series about Harry's son that I had huge amounts of work in (ironically JKR named one of Harry's sons in bk. 7 the same thing as my character) and got rave reviews online. I would love to find my drafts and work on it someday, they're bound to be burned to disc ( ... )
