Yeah, I'm gonna have to side with the "not to be offensive" faction on this one. Whoever wrote all that overly sentimental drivel should definitely consider a career writing greeting card messages for Hallmark.

It's in the phrase: keyword=overly. "Overly sentimental" is necessarily something over the top. So your question is whether the piece is overly sentimental or not. I find it unnecessarily sweet, but mostly I just don't like the writing.

I don't think it is overly sentimental...I think it really does describe the way that I and many people I know feel. I'm with Denny on this one, and will steal bits and peices for myself, ;)
