Day Off

Having always been a night owl, I like to sleep in whenever I can. Today was a day off since I worked the weekend and, normally, would be a lazy day of sleeping late and hanging about the house. Not so today. I had appointments. At least I had plenty of rest. I was so beat when I got home from work yesterday that I curled up on the couch and slept

Cat Tales

Your kitten escapades make me think of the horrible things I so lovingly did to my cats as a child. The worst, I think, was the year we got a swimming pool and I decided all the cats needed to learn to swim so they wouldn't drown. I carried each one in cooing to it the whole time. The cats were so good I barely got scratched. How they remained trusting I can't imagine. Later when I could drive I could take several of our cats to the vet just by letting them sit in my lap on the way. Of course, that would never work with kittens, or ferrets, a loose kitten or ferret in a car would be an instant accident.

I went to "one carrier per cat" after bad experiencs trying to insert #2 while preventing the escape of #1.

I got lucky with my latest round of checkups. More often than not, when I get home from work and go into the powder room, multiple cats follow me in. A couple weeks ago the correct two did; I closed the door, called Dani, and asked him to bring me carriers.
