On a real tip, I cannot believe that some people got bent out of shape and started Race-failing over something like this, when it was obviously just a wonky glitch in the backlighting function of an inanimate piece of equipment. What is wrong with y' ( Read more... )

My Cannon camera picks up 'faces' and it doesn't always recognize my dog... quick, call the ASPCA! Cannon is anti-dog! D:

People are quick to make everything about race these days. *sigh*

We had 'black and white' training at work (which in itself is racist, because... we have other peoples there...) and I found out (apparently) that if I flip my hair back over my shoulder that's racist and offensive. I never knew! D:

The man and woman in the first video tickled me so badly because even they thought the glitch was funny. They were laughing. This wasn't them being "outraged." But the nastiness that practically imploded between commenters on YouTube just floored me. Folks opened up wounds that went waaaaay back without even taking a breath. And for what? Over a joke. Meh.

Wow--I didn't know white hair-flipping was racist! Interesting. Black hair-flipping apparently means you're trying to "pass." :/

The anonymous nature of the internet leads to a lot of nastiness, unfortunately.

Huh - go figure. I always just thought flipping my hair back over my shoulder meant I was trying to get it out of my face. Goes to show what I know! D:

This is really funny, and yes, the people in the first video were being tongue-in-cheek.

As for the crap talking, well, I've had to stop reading comments on lots of message boards, IMDB, news articles, YouTube etc. Once race is even tangentially involved, the comments spiral down into a kind of nastiness I thought was behind us. We've truly got to re-examine this anonymity business on the Internet.
