Miranda had taken the day off from work as she hadn't been able to bring herself to leave her lover.
They'd made love for most of the morning and had lounged around for all of the afternoon just enjoying being with one another.
It had been a really great day, Miranda thought and she looked forward to spending more days like this with her lover in the future.
She headed up to the second floor in search of Andy. She found her in her study on her laptop with low music filling the room.

Andy looked up and smiled at her. "Righto, I'll just use the bathroom and then I'll be down." Andy replied as she logged off on the laptop and stood.
The editor continued to the staircase and went up to the third floor and found Cassidy in her room studying. "Sweetheart, dinner will be ready in five minutes." she said as she stepped into the room.
Cassidy noddded without looking up from her papers on the bed where she was currently lying on her stomach. "Yeah, I'll be down soon."
Miranda was about to turn and leave but thought she'd ask if she wanted to come and attend the photo shoot with her sister and herself.
She wandered closer into the room and sat down on the end of her daughters bed. "Sweetheart, I agreed to Caroline's wishes of coming to Miami with me for the photoshoot I'll be attending and I was wondering if you'd like to come along as well?"
Caroline had told Cassiy about wanting to go with their mother to Miami seeing as she was into the whole fashion thing but Cassidy herself wasn't and didn't exactly want to go. Not that spenidng time with her sister and mother wouldn't be nice she just didn't want to be around when all they'd be talking about is fashion and the photoshoot. She hesitated before she spoke. "Yeah, about that. I'm not sure that I'd wanna go.." she said and trailed off.
Miranda hadn't expected Cassidy to agree on going so wasn't surpsied when she declinded the offer. "What are you going to do then? I don't like the idea of your being home alone for 3 nights straight." the older woman replied. It wasn't because she didn't turst her daughter, she did of course, she was just worried for her daughters safety even though they lived in a safe neighbourhood.
"Well I have been thinking about it and I was thinking that I could maybe stay with Andy?" Cassidy replid with a small hopeful smile. She'd given it some thought ever since Caroline had told her she was going to Miami as well and even though she had friends houses she could stay at she felt that she wanted to spend some time with Andy to maybe bond with her.
Miranda looked at her daughter and found she wasn't surprised by the question of staying at Andrea's. She found herself shaking her head though as she couldn't have Cass impose on Andrea when she will no doubt be busy with work and other things. "We can't expect Andrea to look after you. Like myself she has a very demanding and busy job and she'll probably be working so most likely won't have the time to spend hanging out with you." Miranda replied.
Cassidy frowned. "Could I at least ask her?" she asked. "Please Mum." she whined when Miranda remained quiet.
Miranda sighed. "Alright." she replied with a nod of her head as she stood from the bed. "But don't get your hopes up." she said over her shoulder as she began walking out of the room.

The girls came downtairs and joined Andy and Miranda in the dining room and they ate dinner together as the girls chatted about their day at school.
After Caroline finished talking about her art class, Cassidy decided that now was the perfect moment to ask Andy whether she could stay with her or not.
"Hey Andy?" Cassidy said as she looked over at the brunette.
"Yeah Cass?" Andy asked looking up at her.
"As you know Mum and Caroline are going to Miami for a couple of days next week and seeing as I don't want to go and I can't exaxtly stay here alone I was wondering if I might be able to stay at your apartment with you?" Cassidy asked.
Miranda quickly voiced her thoughts."You don't have to agree if you're busy with work or have other plans just because you want to do the right thing and let her stay." she said.
Andy smiled at both Miranda and Cassidy. "You're in luck. I actually have a few days off next week so you are more then welcone to stay just as long as you don't mind sleeping on the futon." Andy said. "Actually I could swap my bed with you for the futon if you'd prefer." she added. Either way she didn't mind as she was happy that Cassidy wasn't going to Miami and would be able to spend some time with her, selfish as it was.
At that Miranda shook her head. "Nonsense. You're letting her stay so she can take the futon."
Cassidy nodded. "Yeah, I don't mind." she replied just thankful that she didn't have to put up with fashion for 3 days straight.
"Okay then." Andy replied and smile. "I look forward to spending more time with you. I think Alex and Sarah will be coming around on Wednesday night too so you can meet them and we can all hang out."
"Great. I can't wait." Cassidy replied now looking forward for next week.

Couple Of Hours Later.
After finishing going over The Book Miranda rose gracefully from her leather chair, turned out her lamp, and wandered out of her study and down the hall towards the master bedroom. Usually she'd check on her girls but they'd announced earlier that they were going out to some party.

"What time did you want Cassidy to arrive at your place on Tuesday?" Miranda asked.
"I'm working the night before so sometime in the afternoon." Andy replied. "I'm really looking forward to spending some time with her."
"Cassidy is looking forward to it."MIranda replied with a smile.
"Speaking of the girls where are they?" Andy asked.
"Oh they went to some party at Serena's. Apparently it will be the talk at School tomorrow." Miranda replied with a roll of her eyes.
Andy chuckled. "So we have the place tourself then?" she asked.
Miranda nodded and looked up to meet Andy's eyes. She saw them glaze over and she grinned.
"I did tell you that you were going to be all mine tonight." Andy said with a wink.

The thought of losing her Andrea frightened her and she never wanted to have to experience that. "I forgive you Andrea, of course I do darling, my god you mean the world to me." she whispered as they pulled back and she stared into teary brown eyes. "Don't get me wrong though, I am mad at you for putting your life at risk but I do understand why you did what you did as you wanted to safe the girls life and that Andrea is why I love you." she pulled her lover back into her arms and they stood there silently under the warm sprays of water just holding one another.

Three Days Later.
Andy was sitting in her apartment in front of the tv as she flicked through channel after channel. she sighed when she saw that nothing decent was on that she could watch. She stood to get herself a bowl of cereal to eat just as her cell began to ring.
Picking it up she glanced at the Caller ID and was surprised to see that Cassidy was ringing her as she thought she'd be in class. "Hey Cass, what's up?" she asked.
"Andy hey uh I need you to come pick me up from school." Cassidy said into her phone.
Andy frowned. "Why? What's the matter?" she asked.
"I kind of got punched in the face." Cassidy replied a short second after.

"Jemima. We had a little argument in the gym and she went all crazy and punched me." Cassidy replied. "So can you come and get me? I'm waiting near the front desk." Cassidy said.

"Andy, can you not tell Mum just yet. I rang and Emily said she's in a meeting and I don't want her to worry. We'll just tell her later." Casssidy said.
"Sure thing kiddo. See you soon." Andy replied before she grabbed her keys, wallet and helmet and left her apartment.
30 Minutes Later.
Andy walked through the entrance of Dalton and found Cassidy sitting on one of the chairs near the front office. "Hey Kiddo." she said when she saw her and then she saw the cracked lip on her face. "You alright?" she asked.
Cassidy nodded. "It hurts a little but yeah i'm okay."
Just then Jemima walked out of the principles office. Andy turned around and sent her a glare she'd mastered from Miranda. The girl stepped away from her.
"If you do anything again to give Caassidy a hard time you'll be hearing from me and trust me you won't be getting off as easy as you are now. You got that?"
Jemima slowly nodded her head but remained silent.
"Good." Andy said before looking at the princie. "I trust you'll be dealing with this matter the way it should be dealt." she said and when she recieved a "yes of course." from the principle she turned to Cassidy. "Come on Cass we're going." she said.
The young girl stood and followed Andy out the door."Thanks for coming to get me. I didn't want to worry Mum and have her leave her meeting." Cassidy said as they wandered over to Andy's bike.
Andy stopped and turned around to face Cassidy. "I'll always be here for you and Caroline so if you ever need to chat or for me to come and get you all you have to do is say the word and I'll be there for you, okay?" she said with a small smile.
Cassidy smiled and stepped forward and hugged Andy. "Okay." she said.

Later That Day.
Miranda had been shocked when she'd heard that her daughrter got punched in the face by the gir lJemima from school. She really was going to have to speak to the prinicple or the girls parents to have her removed from the school as what happened to her daughter was not acceptable.
She was now currently sitting with her lover at the dining table as they finished off their dinner that Rosa had cooked for them.
"That was delicious. I really am going to have to thank Rosa for all the wonderful food she cooks." Andy said with a grin.
Miranda just smiled at her as she silenly finished off her dinner before they made their way into the sitting room like they did most nights and sipped a glass of wine each. Andy stopped and turned around to face Cassidy. "I'll always be here for you and Caroline so if you ever need to chat or for me to come and get you all you have to do is say the word and I'll be there for you, okay?" she said with a small smile.
Cassidy smiled and stepped forward and hugged Andy. "Okay." she said.
