Most of the time the issue of original vs. cover is not an issue for me at all. Originals usually trump covers. But not always. I still can't make up my mind about "Sympathy for the Devil" (even in spite of my giganimous love for the Stones).

A student of mine complained that Muse concerts were now overrun with teenage girls wearing Twatlight t-shirts. >_< I guess I'm not happy with how mainstream it all has become but I don't really care all that much as long as I like their music. If I stop liking it, now that's a problem. XD

I can understand associating music with certain characters even if it hadn't been specially written for them. That's what fan soundtracks are for after all. But seriously, the influx of teens who wouldn't give a shit about a particular band before the film was out and now suddenly pretending to be experts on the whole genre is fucking annoying. If it makes me sound like an elitist and a wanker, so be it.
