Ou em jee, how gorgeous! That green was a bold choice indeed but it goes sooo well together with the wood and that incredible bed. British imperialism - bad but oh so stylish! :o)))

We crossed our fingers and hoped the demons were to keep bad things out, not curse us if we misbehaved (in *bed*? NEVER.) So far so good! ;D

and i read all your text, and now i have house-lust. i am so sick of apartments, I'm 26 and i've been living in dorms and apartments since i was 17 and i want someplace that is MINE that i can CUSTOMIZE and pour time and love into.

Thank you. ;) It does feel nice to finally have a room molded into something we wanted. Though I could do without all the toxicity risks/issues that go hand in hand with trying to retain vintage/antique details. I love the history sense of place that comes with them, but sometimes I think it would be much simpler to be customizing a newer structure.

Making your space your own is wonderful I think, so I sympathize! Then again, finding the energy to do it never seems to get any easier. :P

It is pretty cool, hee. :D I really wish I could track down more information about their historical use, but the internet has consistently failed me. And there aren't even as many on eBay these days to try and find info from.

Although, srsly, ours looks *plain* next to some of the really fancy ones. :D
